The ED at St. Mary’s Hospital equipped with a spacious Triage area where Triage Nurses receive the patient and shift the patient to different triages as per the protocols. The ED has got total 34 beds with three priorities. It is also equipped with a mini theatre to handle emergency procedures. The ED is close to the diagnostic centre of the hospital and thus fast tracking the diagnosis of the patients received in the ED is practical. With a billing facility in the ED, bystanders can easily handle financial transactions rather than approaching the main billing section. 24X7 service of a PRO in the ED also improves the patient satisfaction in the ED. The waiting area is open to a beautiful gardenthat offers solace to the bystanders.
